Capturing the little moments in everyday life = my greatest passion in life Friday, July 29, 2011where in the World???where was I today??? I love this picture of the Tower of Terror at sunset...it looks beautiful and maybe just slightly creepy. Fun stuff! Thursday, July 21, 2011summer in Iowa...between all my house/pet-sitting gigs this summer I was able to take a quick trip to Iowa to see my family. it was great to get away for a few days; even better to see my brother, sis-in-law, and gorgeous nephews. I took lots of pictures (as per usual) but decided only to post my absolute favorites of Kayden and Jayce (2 each to be fair). I also had to take some pictures of a beautiful Iowa sunset...and a couple flowers. because well, that's what I do. Thursday, June 30, 2011rain, rain...the rainy season here in florida has definitely been apparent this week. lots and lots of rain...every, single, day. I took some pictures of an approaching storm across the lake; then went outside later and took some great shots of the raindrops on the flowers. seriously...beautiful stuff. I love the macro setting on my camera!!!
Sunday, June 26, 2011puppy love...
I've been doing a lot of pet-sitting lately which is something I love to do. Currently I am at a house with three dogs (though I had an extra dog for 5 days); I love these boys! They are so well-behaved and sweet. The dogs are special because they were/are a part of the CCI (canine companions for independence) group. Apollo, the oldest at 7, didn't make the cut back when he was young. General, 2, failed out of the program as well because he had medical issues. Magnus, the baby at 15 months, will be heading for the intense part of the program in the fall. I'm not sure he'll make it...but, maybe I'll be surprised. The 4th dog I had for a few days is Memphis, Magnus' brother. I think Memphis has a really good shot of graduating and being placed with someone.
ANYway, I like to take pictures of the boys...lots of pictures. So, since I haven't posted in awhile, I thought I'd share some shots of the boys. They're mine for another week and a half so I'm definitely going to enjoy it! General Magnus (look at that happy face!) the real brothers: Memphis and Magnus Memphis LOVE!!! Apollo seriously...how could anyone resist this face??!! look! an oreo! Tuesday, June 7, 2011Waiting...so yesterday my friend Melody needed some help with her girls, A and T. I'm always happy to help her out and I love spending time with these two little ladies. they both had dentist appointments (what a way to start the summer!) and while waiting for the office to open after lunch, we sat chillin' in the car with the A/C on full blast. anyway, I took out my camera and snapped a few pictures of them. because, well, they are two of my favorite, and best, subjects. I can't believe they'll be in 5th (A) and 3rd (T) grades next year! time moves way too fast! Wednesday, June 1, 2011DC: mini-trip
A couple weeks ago I made a visit to D.C. for a long weekend. Unfortunately, while my trip was a lot of fun, I did not take many pictures. However, while wandering around Georgetown my cousin and I happened upon an adorable historical site...the Old Stone House. (I think) At any rate, we wandered through the beautiful gardens and I snapped some pictures of pretty flowers. I like flowers. :) We also made a quick visit to the Natural History Museum and spent most of our time in the Gems section. Pretty pretty pretty. The Hope Diamond...amazingly spectacular if I do say so myself. Oh, and yes...I managed to snap a couple shots of some famous landmarks. Because well, what's a visit to our capital city without spying some major sites.
Maybe on my next trip I'll do a better job of actually using my camera for more than like, an hour or two. Here's hoping...
