"Minnie" Girls' Weekend at Disney

The weather for our mini girls' weekend was so spectacular! We ate dinner outside Saturday evening and saw the most breathtaking sunset. And because we were there for the Princess Half-Marathon (2 of us as runners; 2 of us as supporters), we saw a beautiful sunrise. *Just one "benefit" of waking up at 3 o'clock in the morning* It was so amazing watching all those women (and a few men) run through Disney property. I loved being in Magic Kingdom when no one else was there (well, except for the thousands of runners and spectators)! It was the first half-marathon for both Erin and Pat and they both finished in under 3 hours. Woohoo!

Taking a Moment

I'm so excited to be entering my first I Heart Faces photo contest! As soon as I saw the title for this week's challenge ("Anything But a Face"), I knew just which photo to choose. I remember how excited my nephews were last summer to see the Gulf of Mexico for the first time...the beautiful white sand, the amazing color of the water. This picture captures the moment when they stopped just to stare...

Live, Laugh, Love: February with A & T

I spent time with two of my favorite girls on Friday. We went to a local park for a themed "Valentine's Day" photo shoot. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun and were very creative in coming up with their own set-ups. Even though they're only 9 and 8, the girls really know how to embody the phrase: "Live, Laugh, Love". So blessed to know such a wonderful family!

Feelin' the Love...

There's nothing quite like spending Valentine's Day with children. They give love so easily and want everyone around them to just be happy. This Valentine's Day was no exception. I knew it would be a special day when one of the first things I heard was a 7-year old little boy say "love isn't just saying 'I love you', it's showing them too". I mean, wow, kids are so wise! I enjoyed spending time in 4th grade where they spent the afternoon making blankets for Project Linus (http://www.projectlinus.org/). What a wonderful thing to do on a day that is set aside for celebrating love! I also stopped in Kindergarten to take pictures at their Valentine's party...I don't think I saw a single frown! I'm thankful that I have so many people in my life to remind me that love is everywhere and it should be celebrated with everyone. Not just on Valentine's Day, but every day...live, laugh, and most important of all, LOVE!
